TIA is very excited to join a diverse group of stakeholders in the healthcare space to urge the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Burwell to support the wide use of telehealth and remote monitoring solutions to improve the United States’ healthcare system. We look forward to working with all stakeholders to bring eCare solutions to millions of Americans, such as the transmission of real-time sharing of patient-generated health data (PGHD), and allowing face-to-face visits without the obstacles of time and location.

Recently, TIA submitted some extensive comments to the White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) proposed changes to OMB Circular A-119, Federal Participation in the Development and Use of Voluntary Consensus Standards and in Conformity Assessment Activities.

As information and communications technology (ICT) rapidly develops and advances, access to advanced communications products and services is increasingly important for those with disabilities. TIA’s manufacturer, supplier, and vendor company members are long-standing supporters of inclusion for all populations in access to these important products and services.
