TIA Applauds Renomination of FCC Commissioner Rosenworcel

Arlington, Va. (May 21, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today applauded President Obama’s intent to nominate Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel to a full, five-year term at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Rosenworcel has been serving out the term of former FCC Commissioner Michael Copps.

TIA CEO Scott Belcher issued the following statement:

“Commissioner Rosenworcel has served the American people with distinction as a member of the FCC and TIA applauds President Obama’s decision to nominate her to a new term. She has been a tireless advocate for expanding broadband opportunities for all Americans through her work on the E-Rate program and a thought leader on policies to make more spectrum available to meet the needs of the information economy. TIA looks forward to the Senate’s swift confirmation of Commissioner Rosenworcel.”
