Arlington, Va. (June 3, 2015) – On Thursday, June 4^th, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, will live broadcast remarks from FCC Commissioners Mignon Clyburn and Michael O’Rielly on the social media app Periscope during its annual #TIA2015 Network of the Future Conference, taking place June 2-4 in Dallas, Texas.

Periscope is a smartphone app that lets people live-stream from their phones to anyone who wants to watch. To watch the remarks, simply download the Periscope app for Android or iOS and follow @TIAonline. The broadcast will start at 9:25 am and again at 10:15 am on June 4^th. You can watch Periscope videos through the app on your phone or on your desktop browser.

FCC Commissioners Clyburn and O’Rielly are participating as part of a special Policy Day at #TIA2015, where Department of State’s Senior Counselor for International Communications and Information Policy Timothy C. Finton; Department of Defense’s Director of Spectrum Policy and Program Frederick D. Moorefield, Jr.; and executives from Verizon and AT&T are also scheduled to speak. The day will also include a special program on the technology business opportunities in Cuba, with participants from Columbia University, the Department of State and Nearshores America.
