Critical Issues in Education Technology to be featured at TIA Conference in Washington D.C., October 7-10

‘TIA 2013: The Future of the Network’ will include University CTOs and Education Leaders for a Special Focus on Tech Challenges for Research Universities, Gaming, Big Data in Education, Classroom Bandwidth & More

Arlington, Va. (August 27, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, will bring education leaders and technologists to its TIA 2013: The Future of the Network conference to address critical issues in education technology. Held October 7-10 in Washington, D.C., TIA 2013 will gather executives, thought leaders, technologists and policymakers for interactive discussions on the most critical issues facing the future of the communications networks.

Because communications networks enable the connectivity that is essential to today’s classrooms, TIA 2013 will provide a special forum for education leaders andinformation and communications technology (ICT) executives to collaborate on solutions for expanding the adoption of technology. Presentations will focus on solutions to challenges faced by the education community, which is adjusting to and maximizing the use of cloud computing, mobility everywhere, social networking, gaming environments and data analytics, while meeting bandwidth needs to accelerate online learning in higher education and K-12 settings.
