Leaders from Cisco, Verizon, Commerce Dept. and Brookings will Discuss Cross-Border Data Flows and More at TIA Data Center Event

Arlington, Va. (September 24, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, announced that executives from Cisco and Verizon will join policymakers from the Department of Commerce and the Brookings Institution on September 29 for a special international trade policy panel at TIA’s two-day data center event

The panel will focus on how industry executives and government policy makers are addressing trade issues within an increasingly digitized, all-IP world. Participants will discuss current efforts underway to ensure regulatory compatibility for cross-border data flows and will debate future policy solutions through the use of trade agreements.

The two-day data center event also includes a tour of RagingWire’s data centers in Ashburn, VA on September 28. The tour will begin at TIA’s headquarters in Arlington, VA.
