TIA Applauds President Obama’s 2014 Trade Agenda

Arlington, VA (March 4, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today applauded the release of the President’s 2014 Trade Agenda.

TIA President Grant Seiffert stated, “Today’s release of the President’s 2014 Trade Agenda demonstrates the Administration’s commitment to pursuing high-standard trade agreements that will open markets and level the playing field for the U.S. ICT industry.  This will ultimately benefit the United States through economic growth, job creation, and enhancing America’s global competiveness.  We are also encouraged to see the priority placed on working with Congress to gain broad bipartisan support for the passage of Trade Promotion Authority, which is a critical factor in defining the partnership between Congress and the Executive Branch with respect to current and future trade agreement negotiations.”
