TIA Applauds Senate Panel’s Approval of FCC Commissioner Rosenworcel Re-Nomination

Arlington, Va. (December 9, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today applauded the Senate Commerce Committee for approving the re-nomination of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) member Jessica Rosenworcel.

TIA CEO Scott Belcher issued the following statement:

“We are pleased that the Senate Commerce Committee has approved Commissioner Rosenworcel for a second term at the FCC. Since joining the agency in 2012, she has diligently worked to bolster our digital economy to the benefit of consumers and businesses. Her impact can be seen in the reforms to the E-Rating program and advances in policies to make more spectrum available to meet the growing demand for mobile broadband. We know she will continue this good work into her next term and we look forward to the full Senate’s approval of her re-nomination.”
