Arlington, Va. (August 14, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today announced that its upcoming annual conference will feature in-depth educational programs focused on issues that are critical to the future health of the network. TIA 2013 will bring executives, thought leaders, technologists and policymakers to Washington, D.C. on October 7-10 for highly interactive discussions around these emerging issues and to chart a path forward at time of incredible ICT growth and change.

TIA 2013 will feature a CTO Roundtable, a Policy Day and in-depth workshops. The six TIA 2013 educational tracks are:

Mobility & Broadband

Cloud adoption, mobile devices and other innovations are placing unprecedented demand on already overburdened networks, and technology innovations and policy solutions are only partially addressing the problem. These highly interactive sessions will explore how service providers can monetize networks, lower costs, improve the supply chain, and more.

M2M & The Internet of Things

Machine-to-Machine communications (also known as M2M or the Internet of Things), which allows seamless communication across any device anywhere in the world, is quickly becoming the most attractive growth opportunity for the global telecommunications industry.  These sessions will expose participants to new opportunities in the Internet of Things.

Cloud & Data Centers

As more content and big data migrates to the cloud, government and businesses alike are struggling with demands on bandwidth and timely, reliable content delivery.These sessions will explore the evolving standards, technologies, policies and potential solutions for managing data center demand.

Government, Healthcare and Enterprise Networks

These sessions will help managers at government, health care and enterprise networks deal with ever-increasing customer expectations, new technological solutions and shrinking resources. Topics include leveraging big data, federal IT acquisition and procurement reform, data center optimization and more.

Sustainability & ICT

The ICT industry has a critical role in enabling savings by driving down the cost of energy in all sectors. Customer Experience Management
