TIA issues New Telecommunications – Telephone Terminal Equipment – Guidelines for Marking and Labeling CPE Complying with TIA User Premises Standards
Arlington, VA (April 12, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TSB-177-A Telecommunications – Telephone Terminal Equipment – Guidelines for Marking and Labeling CPE Complying with TIA User Premises Standards
TSB-177-A specifies logos which TIA may offer under a license agreement for use in product packaging and marketing materials. The initial publication of TSB-177 included logos for use with products which meet the performance requirements established in the ANSI/TIA-1083 (Handset Magnetic Measurement Procedures and Performance Requirements) standard.
TSB-177 was revised (now TSB-177-A) to add logos which may be offered for use with products that meet the performance requirements established in the ANSI/TIA-4953 (Amplified Telephone Measurement Procedures and Performance Requirements) standard. ANSI/TIA-4953 was published by TIA in August 2012.
TSB-177-A was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-41 User Premises Telecommunications Requirements, TR-41.3 Analog and Digital Wireline Terminals
For more information about TR-41 and how to participate in standards development with TIA, contact Marianna Kramarikova at standards@tiaonline.org.
TSB-177-A, ANSI/TIA-4953 and all TIA standards may be purchased at http://global.ihs.com.
