TIA Releases Statement on FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski’s Resignation
ARLINGTON, VA (March 22, 2013) – The
Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today commented on the announcement by Julius Genachowski that he will step down as a Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). TIA President Grant Seiffert released the following statement:
“Chairman Genachowski has been a leader when it comes to advancing broadband access, addressing the spectrum crunch and improving first responder communications. On these critical issues, and many others, we have worked closely with the Chairman and very much appreciate all that he has done. His work over the last several years have benefited American consumers and helped our industry continue to create jobs and advance economic growth.
