TIA Welcomes TE Connectivity's Stephen C. Mitchell to Board; Bids Farewell to Retiring Charlie Fox

Arlington, Va. – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) welcomes its newest member of the board of directors, Stephen C. Mitchell, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Networks Division, TE Connectivity. Mitchell leads the company's global Enterprise Networks team with sales, marketing, product management, engineering, operations and development reporting to him.

"We're very excited to have Steve on board," said TIA President Grant Seiffert. "His familiarity with enterprise networks at TE Connectivity will help guide TIA as we explore new business opportunities in this important sector for our member companies."

Before being named to his current position at TE Connectivity, Mitchell served for several years as vice president of sales, global marketing and customer service for ADC Telecommunications. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in several management positions at Marconi Communications – including vice president of sales for major markets, vice president of sales for access systems, and vice president of sales for strategic accounts and emerging markets. He began his career with Burndy Corporation and JJM Sales.

TIA bids farewell to Treasurer and long-time board member Charlie Fox, TE Connectivity's retiring Global Director, Business Development. Fox has more than a decade's worth of service as a TIA board member and has worked in the ICT industry for more than 38 years, much of that time with TE Connectivity (formerly Tyco Electronics).

"We will greatly miss Charlie's active involvement as a TIA board member and the wealth of expertise and knowledge he brought to the table," said Seiffert. "His dedicated service will always be greatly appreciated. We congratulate him on his long career and retirement and wish him the best of luck."
