"Telephony Aspects of MLTS and Packet-based Equipment, including VoIP Analog Telephone Port Requirements for Packet-based User Premises Terminal Adapters"

Arlington Va. (September 13, 2012) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-41.3 Engineering Committee on Analog and Digital Wireline Terminals has issued a call for interest for a document titled "Telephony Aspects of MLTS and Packet-based Equipment, including VoIP Analog Telephone Port Requirements for Packet-based User Premises Terminal Adapters". TR-41.3 is developing guidelines defined by the following statement:

"The TIA-1063 standard is being revised to address several technical issues identified for performance requirements and testability. In addition, new proposals related to the digital signaling side of the ATA are expected to be reviewed and considered as part of the revision project."
