TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Absolute Optical Power Test for Optical Fibers and Cables

 

Arlington VA. (June 16, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.12 Engineering Committee on Optical Fibers and Cables has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-455-95-B initially titled "Absolute Optical Power Test for Optical Fibers and Cables".  This revision defines a method for determining the total optical power emanating from an optical fiber.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Designers; installers; building owners; building tenants.

TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
