TIA Issues Call for Interest on two New Projects for Project 25 First Responder Radio Performance

Arlington VA. (June 28, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.10 Engineering Committee on Trunking and Conventional Control and  TR-8.19 Engineering Committee on Wireline System Interfaces have issued a call for interest for the following standards:

• TIA-102.AABB-C initially titled "Project 25 - Trunking Control Channel Formats - Digital Radio Technical Standards". The purpose of this revision TIA-102.AABB-C is to add current technologies and update information in the standard.

• TIA-102.BACD-B-2 initially titled "Project 25 - Inter-RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI) - Messages and Procedures for Supplementary Data - Addendum 2 - Individual Regrouping". This addendum enables Individual Regrouping to be performed across the ISSI. Individual Regrouping is already defined for the Common Air Interface in TIA-102.AABH.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: LMR system owners, LMR system maintainers, P25 radio manufacturers, P25 infrastructure manufacturers, P25 radio implementers, P25 infrastructure implementers.

TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
