TIA issues New Project 25 Standard for Inter-RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI) Emergency Alarm Enhancements

Arlington, VA (May 30, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TIA-102.BACD-B-1 Project 25 - Inter-RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI) - Messages and Procedures for Supplementary Data - Addendum 1 - Emergency Alarm Enhancements.

TIA-102.BACD-B-1 specifies requirements to expand the existing Emergency Alarm CAI request message to indicate that the emergency alarm request has been generated by conditions other than depression of the emergency alarm button. This project is in anticipation of supporting the revised Emergency Alarm message on the ISSI.

TIA-102.BACD-B-1 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-8 Mobile and Personal Private Radio Standards, TR-8.19 Wireline System Interfaces subcommittee.

TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
