TIA Issues New Telecommunications Pathways and Spaces Standard

Arlington, VA (April 16, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, ANSI/TIA-569-D Telecommunications Pathways and Spaces.

ANSI/TIA-569-D specifies requirements for telecommunications pathways and spaces. The standard addresses the telecommunications aspect of building design and significantly influences the design of other building services, such as electrical power and HVAC. It also sets minimum requirements for the size of telecommunications spaces.

ANSI/TIA-569-D was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-42 Telecommunications Cabling Systems, TR-42.3 Commercial Building Telecommunications Pathways and Spaces (569) subcommittee.

For more information about TR-42 and how to participate in standards development with TIA, contact Germaine Palangdao at standards@tiaonline.org.

TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.

ANSI/TIA-569-D and all TIA standards may be purchased at http://global.ihs.com.
