bit inversion

1. The changing of the state of a bit to the opposite state. (188) 2. The changing of the state that represents a given bit, i.e., a 0 or a 1, to the opposite state. (188) Note: For example, if a 1 is represented by a given polarity or phase at one stage in a circuit, the 1 is represented by the opposite polarity or phase at the next stage.
