biconical antenna

An antenna consisting of two conical conductors, having a common axis and vertex, and extending in opposite directions. (188) Note 1: In a biconical antenna, excitation is applied at the common vertex. Note 2: If one of the cones is reduced to a plane, the antenna is called a discone.
