slope

In a transmission line, the rate of change of attenuation with respect to frequency over the frequency spectrum. (188) Note 1: The slope is usually expressed in dB per hertz or dB per octave. Note 2: In metallic lines, the slope is usually greater at high frequencies than at low frequencies.
