TIA and QuEST Forum Merger
Dear TIA Members:
I want to thank you for your involvement with the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) this year, and to provide you a brief update.
We recognize that as a leader in the connectivity industry, you’re challenged to transform your own organization in this fast-changing marketplace. As you do, we know you are seeking a clearer return on your investment and engagement in associations and industry organizations.
TIA is committed to accelerating your business, and we are driving a transformation of our own to better serve you. We are working to enhance our talent, processes and platforms to make it easier for you to do business with us, and to provide improved information, services and solutions to better serve you.
As part of our strategy, I am pleased to share that TIA and QuEST Forum, the global association dedicated to quality and sustainability in the information communication and technology (ICT) industry, have reached an agreement to merge the two associations. This merger expands our ability to deliver value:- TIA has experience and assets in technology and global standards, business advocacy, and market acceleration through events, education, video content and market intelligence;
- QuEST Forum brings complementary offerings and expertise in global TL 9000 quality metrics, benchmarking services, and sustainability tools to help companies create environmentally friendly strategies across every dimension of how their business operates.
The combined association represents a broader community, with more than 500 members and participants, customers and partners. Our broader portfolio enables companies to plan for change more holistically. Our plan for the new organization is to create compelling member offerings, actively support the work of our committees, as well as to provide a broader range of services and products to our customers.
The merger is subject to the ratification of a definitive agreement, and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2017.
