Vehicle Connectivity Workshop
How Communications is Changing Vehicles and Operations
TIA’s one-day workshop, held in conjunction with the ITU Intelligent Transportation Systems Committee Meeting, presented a provocative view and perspectives from policymakers, automotive companies, mobile operators, suppliers and academia on the state of play and the future of vehicle connectivity.
Attendees learned about the government’s plans for advancing the future of vehicle communication, and heard from industry leaders who are doing the work to design, develop, and deploy the critical technology and services.
The workshop provided a perspectives of issues at play with vehicle connectivity including the future of vehicle-to-vehicle communications, the role of 5.9 GHz and 4G/LTE technology, achieving efficient, reliable spectrum usage and allocation, and ensuring secure connections, research and test bed initiatives, and the role of transportation in the future of smart cities.
Thank you to all who attended and made this successful event possible!
