TIA Applauds FCC Report & Order to Improve Wireless Coverage through the Use of Signal Boosters
ARLINGTON, VA (February 20, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today voiced its support for the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Report and Order on the use of signal boosters to improve wireless coverage for consumers. TIA issued the following statement:
“The use of signal boosters improves the reach of wireless networks for consumers, and TIA applauds the Commission’s adoption today of its Report and Order. The Commission’s technical and operational rules will provide for enhanced coverage while guarding wireless networks from interference.”
