TIA Urges Permanent R&D Credit to Promote Greater Investment and Innovation
Arlington, Va. (Nov. 12, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, sent a letter to the Senate Committee on Finance and House Committee on Ways and Means urging a permanent extension of the R&D credit.
The letter notes that a permanent R&D credit is expected to create $33 billion per year in additional research and development spending, and making the credit permanent is necessary to promote certainty for businesses.
