TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Study for CMDA-LTE Inter-Technology Spectrum Optimization

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (April 10, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-45.8 Engineering Committee on Core Networks - Mobile and Personal Communications Standards has issued a call for interest for document TIA-5013 initially titled "Study for CMDA-LTE Inter-Technology Spectrum Optimization".  The Study the benefits of and methodologies for aggregation of CDMA and LTE spectrum to accumulate the throughput of both radio systems and to optimize the use of the spectrum. Improvements on both the radio and network aspects are a part of this study. The result of this work is a Technical Report (TR) regarding CLCA (CDMA & LTE Carrier Aggregation) solutions.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Telecom vendors and operators.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
