TIA issues New Study for CDMA-LTE Inter-Technology Spectrum Optimization Standard
Arlington, VA (October 14, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TSB-5013, Study for CDMA-LTE Inter-Technology Spectrum Optimization.
TSB-5013 specifies requirements for the study of the benefits and methodologies for aggregation of CDMA and LTE spectrum to accumulate the throughput of both radio systems and to optimize the use of the spectrum. Improvements on both the radio and network aspects are a part of this study. The result of this work is a Technical Report (TR) regarding CLCA (CDMA & LTE Carrier Aggregation) solutions.
TSB-5013 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-45 Mobile and Point-to-Point Communications Standards, TR-45.8 Core Networks - Mobile and Personal Communications Standards subcommittee.
For more information about TR-45 and how to participate in standards development with TIA, contact Stephanie Montgomery at standards@tiaonline.org.
TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
TSB-5013 and all TIA standards may be purchased at http://global.ihs.com.
