TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Wireless Communications Systems - Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations - Part 2: Propagation and Noise

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (December 3, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.18 Engineering Committee on Wireless Systems Compatibility - Interference and Coverage has issued a call for interest for document TSB-88.2-D-1 initially titled Wireless Communications Systems - Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations - Part 2: Propagation and Noise. TR-8.18 is developing guidelines to add material specific to propagation issues related to broadband. This is needed because new TSBs 88.4 and 88.5 will cover broadband (an expansion of scope over existing TSB-88.1 & 88.3s). Therefore, the existing propagation TSB needs material added to fill this gap.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Public safety and critical infrastructure users, manufacturers, consultants.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
