TIA issues New Measurement Methods and Test Fixtures for Balun-Less Measurements of Balanced Components and Systems, Extending Frequency Capabilities to 2 GHz. Standard
Arlington, VA (January 19, 2016) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry has released a new document, ANSI/TIA-1183-1 Measurement Methods and Test Fixtures for Balun-Less Measurements of Balanced Components and Systems, Extending Frequency Capabilities to 2 GHz..
ANSI/TIA-1183-1 specifies requirements to provide necessary information to extend measurement capabilities to 2 GHz with sufficient accuracy to support category 8 cabling standards: ANSI/TIA-568-C.2-1.
ANSI/TIA-1183-1 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-42 Telecommunications Cabling Systems, TR-42.7 Telecommunications Copper Cabling Systems (568) subcommittee.
