TIA and oneM2M
TIA is a Founding Partner of oneM2M. Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technology changes lives, and standards accelerate adoption. That’s why TIA members can participate in the TR-50, M2M Smart Device Communications, Engineering Committee and in the oneM2M global initiative, through their TIA affiliation. M2M reaches across industries, many of which have traditionally required custom hardware and software. Through TIA, efforts are directed to simplify adoption by creating a standard baseline for these elements, and the networks on which they transmit, in order to significantly reduce time to market and simplify deployment for new and emerging M2M applications. Concentrating on the production of globally applicable, access-independent documents related to M2M solutions, oneM2M’s initial focus is on the Service Layer. TIA is joining forces with other standards organizations around the world to address the needs of the M2M marketplace.
