TIA Issues a Call for Interest on New Project for FAST Digital IF Architecture and Open Standard Digital IF Interfaces

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (August 5, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-34 Engineering Committee on Satellite Equipment & Systems has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-5041 initially titled FAST Digital IF Architecture and Open Standard Digital IF Interfaces. TR-34 is developing a standard that will define an interface to connect modems, switches and transmitters at a digital intermediate frequency.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: satellite communications vendors and operators.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
