TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Measurement Methods and Test Fixtures for Balun-less Measurements of Balanced Components and Systems.

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (January 06, 2016) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.7 Engineering Committee on Telecommunications Copper Cabling Systems (568) has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-1183-A initially titled Measurement Methods and Test Fixtures for Balun-less Measurements of Balanced Components and Systems. TR-42.7 is developing guidelines which supersedes ANSI/TIA-1183 and its addendum ‘1183-1. It is intended to incorporate and revise as necessary the content of those Standards.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Cable and connector manufacturers, end users, system developers, installers, consultants. Field tester manufacturers and users.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
