TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Requirements for Field Test Instruments and Measurements for Balanced Twisted-Pair Cabling

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (November 05, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.7 Engineering Committee on Telecommunications Copper Cabling Systems (568) has issued a call for interest for document TIA-1152-A initially titled Requirements for Field Test Instruments and Measurements for Balanced Twisted-Pair Cabling. TR-42.7 is developing guidelines to revise ANSI/TIA-1152-2009 as determined in TIA TR-42.7, incorporating new specifications and other information as required to support field testing of cabling described in ANSI/TIA-568-C.2-1.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Field tester manufacturers; Test equipment manufacturers; Structured cabling products manufacturers; Structured cabling installers;.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
