TIA Issues New Introduction to Extended Cell High Rate Packet Data (xHRPD) Air Interface Specification Standard
Arlington, VA (May 19, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TIA-1185.100-A Introduction to Extended Cell High Rate Packet Data (xHRPD) Air Interface Specification.
TIA-1185.100-A specifies requirements on features to be used for disaster scenarios and new band class for IMT-MSS band with associated minimum performance specifications will be developed. It will also clarify that xHRPD can be supported by EPC network.
TIA-1185.100-A was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-45 Mobile and Point-to-Point Communications Standards, TR-45.5 Spread Spectrum Digital Technology -- Mobile and Personal Communications Standards subcommittee.
