                                   TIA issues New MAP Support for the Mobile Equipment Identity (MEID)

Arlington, VA (April 24, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TIA-928-A-1, MAP Support for the Mobile Equipment Identity (MEID). The TIA-928-A-1 project defines modifications to the MEID network specification to support MEID Device Binding.

TIA-928-A-1 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-45 Mobile and Point-to-Point Communications Standards, TR-45.8 –Core Networks- Mobile and Personal Communications Standards
