TIA issues New Trunking Control Channel Messages Addendum 3- Vehicle Sensed Emergency Standard

Arlington, VA (November 27, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, ANSI/TIA-102.AABC-D-3, Trunking Control Channel Messages Addendum 3- Vehicle Sensed Emergency. This addendum enhances trunking control channel messages by the specification of a “Vehicle Sensed Emergency” (VSE) bit in the “Special Information” field of the EMRG_ALRM_REQ message, which convey additional information regarding a specific emergency alarm scenario request.

ANSI/TIA-102.AABC-D-3 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-8 Mobile and Personal Private Radio Standards, TR-8.10 Trunking and Conventional Control subcommittee.
